Estate properties for sale: Plot and plan now
The opening two phases in the sale of plots at the Sardinia Bay Golf and Wildlife Estate in Port Elizabeth are almost fully subscribed, with only 11 plots still available.
A total of 91 plots were released in the first two phases and, of those, 80 have been sold. The estate is around 100 hectares in size with a perimeter of 4.8km.Third phase
A third phase, which will have a total of 19 plots, is in the planning stage. These will only be released after the environmental impact assessment (EIA) has been concluded.Plot & plan
The plots, which average 1 000 square metres, are primarily sold on a plot and plan basis, allowing you to choose your own style to blend in with the surroundings.Architectural guidelines
The estate does not have any predefined conditions in the style of houses, but there is a common thread to ensure one house is not completely divorced in design from another. Plans are submitted to a Design Review Committee, comprising a panel of architects, to decide if they are in line with the guidelines.Lifestyle & security
The estate offers a unique lifestyle, which combines a secure living environment with wildlife and plenty of recreational facilities. Security features include armed response, a gatehouse for access control, CCTV cameras as well as electric perimeter fencing with anti-burrowing brackets and security zones.Recreation centre
The recreation centre, which doubles as a meeting place and venue for parties and other occasions, is the social hub of the community. It consists of a tennis court, swimming pool, built-in braai facilities, veranda and an adjacent hall with kitchen.Golf course
The nine-hole golf course has been extended from a mashie course to a much more testing layout with 18 tees and a par of 66. The Sardinia Bay Golf Club is affiliated to the national body, with the course comprising one par-five, four par-fours and four par-threes.Shopping centres & schools
The estate is located within 10 minutes of several shopping centres. There are also fast-food outlets, restaurants, a medical centre as well as primary and high schools in the vicinity.Wildlife
The estate abounds with a variety of wildlife and is a haven for bird-watchers. A controlled breeding programme is in place while five ponds create a habitat for further species. Birdlife includes black-headed heron, long-crested eagle, owls, swallows and francolins.Sales enquiries
